Abstract
SpatialPad investigates a compact vocabulary of mid-air taps for everyday XR input. We design and evaluate a set of pinch-and-tap gestures that decouple selection from confirmation, allowing users to point with the eyes and act with subtle micro-movements of the hand. A controlled study shows the technique competes with controller-based input on accuracy while substantially reducing arm fatigue over long sessions.
